The Smithsonian presents an excellent compilation of primary source statements made by participants of the March on Washington which occurred on August 28, 1963 as a part of the nonviolent activism in the Civil Rights Movement. This site provides several video clips of individuals remembering the event and their roles in the movement. It also presents an excellent overall description of the event. This is an excellent collection to recommend to civil rights enthusiasts.

It has incredibly impressive stalactites and stalagmites that liken the pipes of a cathedral’s grand organ in giant scale and towers from an imaginary fairytale. It is the home to innumerous bats and the cave’s natural wonders allow for the mind to run wild as one walks into this natural artistic creation.

It is a moving experience to walk the paths and climb the stairs that some of the most famous individuals in British history used and touched. This beautiful yet austere castle that acted as both residence and prison is one of the most recognized buildings of the western world.
